Background
A long time ago in a land far away, Princess 
mlp_Celestia tried her hoof at cooking. As is commonly known, the Princess does not do well in the kitchen. Thinking the meal could use more 'zest', she infused it with a little bit of magic. Unbeknownst to her, that touch of magic mixed with the few random ingredients she threw in were just the right combination to create a new magic: life magic.

Jim holds regular poker nights with other inanimate objects such as mlp_Tom and mlp_SmartyPants.
Skills/Talents
Jim is not limited to his jar. He is connected to the Original Jim via a hive mind. All Jim brand peanut butter is connected, no matter where in the world they are.
Trivia
- Under the direction of Princess
mlp_Celestia, Jim used to babysit the Cake foals, mlp_poundcake and mlp_pumpkincake with mlp_SmartyPants. Together, they helped the twins plot and execute plans to take over the world. The Princess did not know that part. - Only the young, the princesses, and other inanimate objects can hear Jim.
- When he is bored, Jim can temporarily transform into a pegasus with a peanut butter and jelly cutie mark.
